Before coming to Body Works Gym, Mark was a member of another gym for 2 years and after a period of weight loss, he felt he wasn't challenged and hit a long period of stagnation, regaining his weight over a period of time. Mark joined Body Works Gym in February 2006, and has noticed a significant difference in the way he looks and feels since becoming a member. In the last 2 weeks of March, he lost 8 pounds. In the last week March alone, lost 2 inches in his waist. Mark has noticed that his clothes now feel looser and had to buy a new belt, but more importantly, he feels better about himself and is more confident on what his body can do. Mark has gained a self confidence that he lacked before coming to Body Works Gym. Update..... as of October 2006 he has lost a total of 69 lbs since joining Body Works. Mark has went down 5 pant sizes and 1 shirt size so far. Also, he can powerwalk a 3.2 mile course in 42:46.

After suffering from spontaneous pnuemothorax back in November 2001, which caused a hole to form in her lung due to 26 years of smoking. Becky Manis kicked her smoking habit. However, with giving up smoking came a weight gain of 37 lbs. Becky went to a gym 2 years ago and brought her weight down to a healthy 130 lbs. In the last 2 years, Becky has lost 10 1/2 inches on her body, which is exceptional since she didn't start working out until she was 50 years old. Deciding that she needed a more challenging program, Becky joined Body Works gym at the end of February 2006 and can now stay on the treadmill longer than she ever thought. She now completes the Hill Program #1 on the treadmill and has doubled her time on the elliptical. Not bad for a 52 year old woman!! Becky has also noticed with the more challenging program that she sleeps better and has more energy to perform everyday tasks as well as a strengthened back, thanks to the upper body program. Becky's motto is "If I can do it, You can too!" Update....... as of September 2006 she is on the Interval Program on the treadmill at #2 at 4.5 mph. She can also do 2.2 miles at 29:32.
